A Little Help Can Make a Big Difference
We appreciate every little contribution by our partners. Every child deserves to grow in a transformed family.
A survey carried out in 2018 estimated that 47,000 children are forced to live and work on the streets of Kenya. Ignored by and invisible to those who should protect them, these children are frequently physically & sexually abused, maltreated, hungry and excluded. Basic survival is a challenge and many turn to crime, substance-abuse and prostitution.
Partnering with us and to rescue a child. It costs £225 (Kshs. 33,500) to rescue and reintegrate a child with his/her family. That will enable us to trace a child’s family, reunite a child back home and carry out regular follow up visits, ensuring that children are settling back home in circumstances that are consistent with the provision of safe and effective care for the family. That usually covers a span of at least two years before we disengage with the child’s family. Our goal for 2021 is 120 children leaving the streets each month.
We are ware that different people have different ways of giving based on their preferences, ease of use, trust or simply based on what they are used to doing. We have a wide range of options to help you find the best and most secure way for you to contribute to TKW. We have few online and off line options. Our facility for online donations is suitable for any donations anywhere in the world. For Kenya specific donations we have the options of giving via MPESA.
You can also support us while doing your shopping via Amazon Smile and ‘Give as you live’. These facilities offer customers an option of any purchase made with certain retailers creating a donation from that retailer. Please contact our UK office for more information.
Regular donations enable TKW to plan for the future and are therefore vital to the long-term stability of its work. You can download and complete a standing order form to make monthly donations You can also Download and complete the Stewardship form for Direct Debit.
You can also support Kenya Children of Hope safely and tax‑efficiently through Stewardship, a UK Christian giving platform. By giving via Stewardship, you can set up one‑off or regular gifts to the charity, and if you are a UK taxpayer, Stewardship will add Gift Aid to increase the value of your donation at no extra cost to you.
We also accept donation by direct bank transfer, in fact this is the most cost-effective way to donate to the charity, as we don't incur any bank processing fees. Make a direct bank transfer using our bank details. If you are a UK taxpayer, please download a Gift Aid form and send to our UK Office
