    ENCOUNTER WITH TKW

At an early age, my grandfather would occasionally organize get-togethers for his children.  He would slaughter a goat which the family ate together as they updated each other on their progress in life. I always looked forward to such a time because I could eat a delicacy of choice meat as well as meeting other members of the extended family. As I grew up and noted what Job used to do for his family, I marvelled at the wisdom of my grandfather.  ‘’And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus, did Job continually’’ (Job 1:5).

Although the biblical aspect was not clearly portrayed, family unity and warmth were evident. More interaction with scriptures brought to light that God values families. In fact, He sets the lonely to be settled in families. (Psalm 68:6a). TKW’s endeavour to call back families into God’s original order inspires me to look forward for positive changes in dysfunctional families. It’s my joy to be a part of being a witness in this transformation within families of current and future generations
