WISH I COULD GO TO SCHOOL… And that wish came to pass…
For these children, their lives on the streets made their chances of education slim. TKW ensured that no child is forgotten and has access to the learning opportunities that they deserve once they are removed from the streets. Every one of these children deserves the chance to go to school. And with our /your support, we gave some of the neediest and most vulnerable children that chance.
By operating a child removal from the streets , reintegration into their family/society and education approach, TKW is now working with the community caregivers to provide clear support networks to make children feel safe, protected and to give them a chance to go to school and learn. Most children in the streets are unable to attend school simply because they have to work to support themselves and their families. Others struggle with low self-esteem, lack of self-confidence, a sense of worthlessness and shame. TKW helps children reconnect with their families and re-integrate into society if they have been associated with the streets.
Children need to be able to access school. Education makes living on the streets a none existing experience instead of a lifelong sentence.
For these children to go back to school, they need a supportive and flexible environment where they are made to feel valuable pupils, not street children. And schools provides this safe and secure haven…
